With their iconic curled horns and agile mountain movements, mouflons are among the most sought-after game species in Europe. Croatia’s rugged coastline, islands, and mountain ranges provide the perfect natural habitat for these wild sheep, making the country a top destination for hunters seeking both adventure and authenticity.
The hunts are typically conducted in rocky terrain with panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea or deep inland mountain ridges. Spot-and-stalk is the primary method, requiring patience, good optics, and careful approach. While not easy, the reward is a true trophy—both in terms of experience and the ram itself.
Hunting mouflon in Croatia is not only about the shot—it’s about the journey, the scenery, and the connection to a tradition that spans generations. Whether you’re a seasoned mountain hunter or looking for your first European big game, mouflon hunting here will leave a lasting impression.
